We are recruiting a Care Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 28 hours per week (4 x 7 hour shifts over a 7 day week on a rota pattern)

Location: Min y Mynydd Residential Home

Min y Mynydd Residential Home is looking for a part time Care Assistant to provide care and support for older adults living with a dementia. You will be required to carry out duties to support residents in a dignified and respectful manner, promoting independence and wellbeing and adopt a person centred approach.
Experience of working with older people would be beneficial although not essential.
Rota patterns of work are over a 7 day period. Approximate shift times are 7-2.30pm & 2.30-10pm.
For the role, we ask that you have:
1. A Level 2 Qualification in care (Previously known as NVQ 2), are working towards, or have a willingness to achieve the qualification within a specified timeframe
2. Knowledge of the principles that underpin quality care e.g. dignity and choice
3. The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
