Force Contracting are looking for a Civils biased QA/QC Engineer to be responsible for implementing and managing quality assurance and quality control activities for our converter station project. This role is crucial to ensuring that all construction activities comply with relevant standards, project specifications, and company quality requirements.

Location: Redcar, Teesside
Rate: £400 - £450/day
Duration: 6 months
Scope: Sofia Offshore Windfarm – Onshore new build converter station
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement QA/QC plans, procedures, and inspection/test plans for the converter station project.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor compliance with project specifications, standards, and codes.
* Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and work procedures.
* Monitor and report on quality control performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations.
* Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and subcontractors to ensure quality objectives are met.
* Conduct training sessions for site personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
* Prepare detailed QA/QC reports, maintain documentation, and track quality metrics.
* Liaise with clients, third-party inspectors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with project requirements.
* Investigate non-conformances, develop corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution.
* Support commissioning activities and ensure all QA/QC aspects are adequately addressed.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* Previous experience in QA/QC roles within civil engineering, preferably in power or converter station projects.
* In-depth knowledge of construction quality standards, codes, and regulations.
* Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001) and relevant quality control software/tools.
* Certifications in quality assurance/control (e.g., CQE, CQM) are highly desirable.
