Job Purpose: The Technical Account Manager (TAM) works directly with our key clients as a key technical advisor and customer advocate, responsible for managing and growing assigned accounts. The TAM will work closely with the Business Development Managers, Pre-sales and Technical Consultants to propose and design solutions to meet customer requirements and meet their business requirements. The TAM’s will ensure exceptional customer satisfaction though the customers lifecycle ensuring continued engagement with the customer to drive retention and re-sign. Responsibilities Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services and solutions to the customer. Work with pre-sales team to develop proposals and presentations to meet the customers' requirements. Create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally. Attend meetings with customers to determine technical and business requirements and ensuring that all required information is collated prior to producing a solution. Provide technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes, seeking guidance from the pre-sales and technical teams on best practice and suitability. Sell technical solutions to the customer with professionalism and enthusiasm. Provide accurate and timely management information, to include pipeline reports and KPI’s. Structure and produce compelling sales proposals/commercial and high-level technical documentation outlining the cost savings and business benefits. Interface with the pre-sales, delivery & project team, articulating customer requirement, to ensure smooth transition from Sale to Delivery. Conduct regular meetings with clients to review service performance and discuss upcoming needs. Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients. Act as the primary commercial point of contact for clients, addressing their technical needs and concerns. Advise clients on best practices, IT strategies, and technology trends. Assist in the development of IT roadmaps and strategic plans aligned with clients’ business goals. Ensure the continued quoting and renewal of customer re-occurring services including Support Contract Renewal. Skills From a relevant technical background, ideally within an MSP environment such as pre-sales, project management or technical delivery. A solid technical understanding of core product sets including M365, Azure, AVD, Windows Server and associated storage/hardware solutions, Networking Solutions including HPE, Meraki and SonicWALL. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. A solid understanding of Cyber technologies such as Zero Trust, SASE, CASB, EDR/XDR, Managed SOC, vulnerability and pen testing, Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO27001. Experience in designing and delivering technical solutions in SME to Enterprise businesses. Full drivers licence and willingness to travel to client sites. Experience in producing high quality commercial proposals including design, solution overview and pricing. Ability to cope under pressure and prioritise work accordingly. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service. Proven track record in managing and growing client accounts. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Desired Skills Worked in an IT or Telecom Managed Service environment previously. Relevant vendor or industry qualifications (Microsoft, Gamma, LG, Meraki, SonicWall, Aruba or Cisco).
