Product Engineer Worcestershire Full-Time Onsite £50,000 - £70,000 benefits (dependent on skill level/experience) Our partner is an established manufacturer of high-performance alloy components for critical applications that is seeking a talented Product Engineer to join their team and contribute to the development of technically complex components. Product Engineer Position Summary: The Product Engineer will be responsible for the development and optimization of highly technical alloy components. This role requires deep expertise in engineering materials and manufacturing processes, ensuring that products meet stringent performance criteria. Additionally, the Product Engineer will act as a key liaison between the company and key account customers, ensuring that their technical needs are fully understood and met throughout the product lifecycle. Product Engineer Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of high-performance alloy components and conducting necessary simulations and analyses to optimize product performance. Serve as the primary technical liaison with key account customers, managing communications, addressing technical inquiries Collaborate closely with process engineers to ensure product designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet quality standards. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from initial concept through to production release, delivering on-time and within budget Ensure that all products meet or exceed industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for product enhancements based on customer feedback, production data, and advancements in materials science and manufacturing technologies. Maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including design specifications, technical reports, and communication records, while providing regular updates to management and customers on project status and developments. Product Engineer Candidate Profile: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related STEM field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product engineering, specifically in the development of technically complex alloy components. Strong knowledge of materials science, metrology and metallurgical processes. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage customer relationships effectively. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a forgings/ castings/ machined product environment with an understanding of the production and compliance manufacturing processes involved. Knowledge of aerospace applications and performance requirements. Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other process improvement methodologies. Familiarity with quality management systems and compliance (e.g., ISO 9001, AS13100, AS9100).
