Tooling Engineer Sunderland £37,634.24 to £38,930.08 per annum Working Hours: 2 Shifts If you are a talented tooling engineer or toolmaker, we're currently on the lookout for a Tooling Engineer to join our client's team. As a Tooling Engineer, you will be responsible for the checking, repairing and servicing of all assembly and press tooling equipment to ensure that machinery and equipment runs smoothly and reliably. Duties: Leading the repair and maintenance of all assembly and press tooling equipment in a timely manner Effective diagnosis and timely repair of equipment to maximise machine availability Perform scheduled and planned maintenance to reduce breakdowns and improve equipment performance and reliability. Leads in geometry improvement activities from technical understanding. Adhering to quality standards and requirements, including all QMS related items. Supporting and championing the intervention process and escalation procedure. Adhering to all legal and safety requirements including; PUWER power press regulations, lifting and slinging Supporting the procurement and management of spare parts and tools required. Adhering to and entry of RPO and MTTR data (documentation of jobs/hours completed through electronic reporting methods) Supporting the development of engineering apprentices through knowledge and skill sharing. The completion of housekeeping and maintaining cleanliness within own and related areas Working to the companies' code of conduct, policies and procedures Leading planned maintenance activities, including technical improvement activities.
