About the Role:
As a Learning Mentor, you will work closely with students to remove barriers to learning and support their academic, personal, and social development. Your role will be critical in helping students re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build strong, trusting relationships with students to support their personal and academic growth.
* Provide one-on-one and small-group mentoring tailored to individual needs.
* Support students in developing coping strategies, resilience, and positive behaviour.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff to create personalised learning plans.
* Assist with classroom activities, ensuring students are fully engaged.
* Act as a positive role model, promoting self-esteem and confidence.
* Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to staff and families.
* Support students during transitions, including reintegration into mainstream education or further training.
* Work with external agencies to provide holistic support for students and their families.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Experience working with young people, particularly those facing emotional, social, or behavioural challenges.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
* A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
* Resilience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
