Person specification
Education
Essential criteria
1. Science Degree (BSc level or higher)
2. Relevant post graduate qualification (PGCert, PGDip, or MSc (or equivalent))
3. AVS (Full Accreditation with Society of Vascular Technology for Great Britain and Ireland) or HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist (requires 3 years post-graduate study), foreign qualifications of equivalent education/training or graduate of Scientist Training Program
Desirable criteria
1. MSc in Ultrasound related subject
Experience, Knowledge and skills
Essential criteria
1. Ability to independently perform, interpret and report Carotid/Vertebral arteries, lower limb arteries and lower limb venous (DVT and incompetence)
2. Extensive ultrasound scanning experience
3. Knowledge of vascular ultrasound and application
4. Fluent spoken and written English
5. Knowledge of developments in vascular ultrasound and vascular intervention
6. Self motivated and able to work within a team structure
7. Flexible working attitude
Desirable criteria
1. Ability to independently perform, interpret and report EVAR, TCD and fistula
2. Experience in developing trainees to the level of Clinical Scientist
