Key responsibilities will be: Work effectively and collaboratively to ensure the successful operation of therapeutic provision within the service. Provide interventions to children and young people at different locations. Be part of a multi-disciplinary assessment (MDA) team. Facilitate psychological and risk assessments to aid the development of client/family formulations and care pathways. Support children in discussing and working through complex, sensitive, and personal information related to their presentation. Deconstruct current interactional patterns of behavior and meaning around obesity issues and complex relationships. Create methods for client-centered analysis of change, using assessment tools. Prepare and participate in peer supervisions and case reviews with other therapists regularly across the organization. Maintain accurate and detailed case notes and client records utilising digital systems and databases. Attend team meetings, contribute to agendas and discussions, and prepare fully for Multi-Disciplinary Team Meetings (MDT). Provide effective individual child interventions to help clients engage in the specialist weight management programme and/or physical activity interventions. Provide systemic child therapy employing evidence-based methods. Work sensitively with children from diverse racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds. Contribute knowledge, skills, and ideas to optimize the outcomes of the specialist weight management programme and/or physical activity interventions. Participate in multiagency meetings, child protection case conferences, and reviews, providing professional advice on care program planning and other clinical matters. Prioritize own workload and ensure effective time management strategies. Be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for own work, managing patients/service users in care. Undertake self-directed/lone working in various locations. Stay up-to-date with developments in psychological and family therapy for obesity treatment. Have suitable external supervision arrangements with a qualified approved supervisor. Skills and Competencies Required: Experience as a therapist in a community health environment, assisting and delivering support to children and young people. Experience working with diverse communities within varied cultural environments. Adequate communication skills; strong communicator who adapts the message to fit the audience's needs.
