We are looking to recruit compassionate, collaborative, and engaging individuals for the role of Team Leader - Nights. In this position, you will help each resident enjoy the highest possible quality of life, surrounded by love, friendship, and support within a Christian environment. You will ensure the Home delivers excellent person-centred care and provide effective leadership to the care staff within your team.
You will contribute to person-centred assessment planning, implementation, and review, while putting into practice person-centred care, including for residents with dementia. You will support independence in daily living tasks and participate in the safe selection, recruitment, and retention of staff to develop a quality service.
Taking part in an audit schedule is part of your role, supervising, appraising, and supporting a small team of night care assistants to ensure that the home meets the individual needs and preferences of residents. Additionally, you will be responsible for your own continuing professional development and that of the staff you oversee. Participation in a weekly Team Leader meeting to assist with continuity of care and communication flow is also required (this can be done remotely or on-site).
To be successful, you will be an experienced Care Worker and able to manage your own workload. You will also need to have:
* Experience of providing care for older people in a residential setting, including those living with dementia and very frail older people.
* Experience of end-of-life care and managing the administration of medication.
* A proven record of leading a team and having responsibility for a service.
* Outstanding leadership, relationship-building, and interpersonal abilities.
* An appropriate Social Care or Nursing qualification equivalent to, or working towards, Level 3 Diploma/NVQ 3 in Care.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Impressive interpersonal, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
* The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, with occasional residential work.
