We are an independent domestic violence and abuse charity specialising in immigration advice and support.
We are currently looking for someone to join our immigration team to undertake case work pertaining to victims of Domestic Violence and Abuse.
This role will be for one day a week at £14.00 per hour, with the potential for hours to increase, subject to available funding.
You will be directly responsible to the MD and Director of Immigration and Race Relations.
Responsibilities:
1. Undertake initial consultation.
2. Advise, assess and collect relevant documents for immigration applications pertaining to issues of Domestic Violence and Abuse.
3. Ensure all appropriate paperwork is completed and meets with legal compliance and the OISC standards.
4. Stay updated with latest relevant legislation changes.
5. Undertake appeal work and representations, where appropriate.
6. Comply and deliver within set deadlines.
7. Adhere to company and OISC process and policies at all times.
Requirements:
1. OISC Level 2 accredited.
2. Excellent organisational skills and eye for detail.
3. Deliver highest level of service to all clients.
4. Able to work unsupervised.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
6. Multilingual applicant preferred.
7. Good legal writing and drafting skills.
8. IT and Microsoft Office literate.
9. Remain efficient and productive under pressure.
10. Lived experience or sufficient knowledge and understanding of Domestic Violence and Abuse.
