Competitive Gaming Referee About the Role Step into the world of esports as a Competitive Gaming Referee You’ll be a key part of ensuring our streaming content runs smoothly, guiding players and overseeing matches to the highest standard. If you’ve got strong attention to detail, great communication, and a passion for esports, this could be the role for you. Experience running esports tournaments would be a bonus, but we’ll support you in learning as you go Location: Milton Keynes Pay: £12.84 per hour, plus additional night shift pay from 11 PM to 6 AM What You’ll Do As a Competitive Gaming Referee, you’ll play a hands-on role, from managing player queries to overseeing live broadcasts. You’ll work closely with our Trading, Product, and Broadcast teams, so teamwork and people skills are a must. Here’s a bit more about your day-to-day: Player Management: Support players on-site and assist with roster management Monitor gamer performance, report any integrity concerns, and uphold fairness and compliance standards Maintain data security (GDPR compliance training provided) Production Oversight: Operate graphics systems and manually mix live broadcasts Keep schedules, graphics, and customer websites accurate Tournament Management: Ensure the tournament stays on schedule Provide technical support as needed Create and update supporting documents like score and stat reports Teamwork & Customer Service: Deliver top-notch service to both internal and external customers Inspire and motivate the team, promoting accountability and ownership Integrity & Fair Play: Enforce competition rulebook and integrity standards, suggesting updates to improve gameplay fairness Apply best practices for event and player integrity Skills and Experience Must-Haves: Top-notch attention to detail and accuracy in data input Strong communication and teamwork skills Proficiency with MS Office and G Suite Professional self-presentation (role involves being on camera) Nice-to-Haves: Experience as a tournament referee Familiarity with the esports industry and trends Knowledge of the betting industry If you’re ready to combine your love of esports with a role in tournament operations, apply to join our team and be part of the action To be considered for this position you MUST be aged 18 or over, and be able to commute to Milton Keynes.
