YOUnited is an innovative partnership involving Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust, Centre 33, and Ormiston Families. The partnership offers emotional wellbeing and mental health support to children and young people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, with Ormiston Families leading on interventions for the younger age range.
We are seeking candidates who are dedicated to improving services and want to make a positive difference for children and young people. You will provide short-term therapeutic interventions for children with mild to moderate mental health issues, offering a blend of face-to-face and online counselling sessions.
You will join a supportive team where clinical supervision is provided. We are also very keen to develop our service as a provider of high-quality trainee counsellor placements.
Successful candidates will be required to be qualified counsellors and BACP registered; have a good understanding of the needs of children, young people and their families aged 5-12; and preferably, have one year’s post-qualification experience working with this age group.
The main office is in March, Cambridgeshire but successful candidates will work from home, with most counselling sessions undertaken in schools. An ability to travel across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is therefore essential.
