Hours: 37.00 hours per week

Salary: Scale 6 (£32,247.00 – £34,329.00 per annum)

The Office of Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) supports the Police and Crime Commissioner serving Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. The OPCC provides a link between Hampshire & Isle Wight Constabulary (HIOWC) and the communities they serve through setting the budget and holding the Chief Constable to account in the delivery of an efficient and effective service.
The main function of the OPCC’s Facilities Management (FM) team is to maintain all Police estates across the county, keeping them safe and fit for purpose. The eastern FM team are currently recruiting for a new Senior Facilities Officer, to deliver day to day planned and reactive maintenance of estates.
About the Role
The eastern FM team cover the east of Hampshire, from Alton down to Park Gate. As a Senior Facilities Officer, you will support a team of Facilities Officers to complete required maintenance jobs, providing mentoring and training where required. There will be no direct line management responsibilities.
You will be required to review jobs on the computer assisted facilities management (CAFM) system and allocate them to Facilities Officers, or where necessary, send them to external contractors for completion. Where contractors are required, you will be responsible for supervising them whilst on site and ensuring they work in line with regulations. There will also be a requirement for you to undertake general building maintenance activities when necessary.
Reporting into the Assistant Facilities Manager (AFM), you will be expected to deputise for them during periods of planned or unplanned absence.
The home base of this role is the Eastern Police Investigation Centre in Portsmouth. However, there is the requirement for the role holder to travel across the eastern area in a company provided van. There is no scope for home working.

About You
We are looking for someone who has a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a facilities / maintenance role and previous experience of training team members is desirable. You will need to have good time management and prioritisation skills, and be comfortable working alone and as part of a team.
You will be computer literate and confident in your ability to learn new systems. Ideally, you will have previous experience using a CAFM system.
It is also desirable for you to have experience working against key performance indicators, managing customer expectations, and resolving issues/complaints.
You must hold a full UK driving licence.
