What you’ll be doing:
* Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
* Performing accounting transaction and backup recording and reconciliations, ensuring adherence to Corporate Policies and SOX compliance.
* Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
* Performing variance analysis.
* Ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
* Supporting month-end and year-end close processes on SAP and other systems.
* Assisting with preparation of external reporting documents e.g. VAT returns, National Statistic submissions.
* Assisting with liaison with external auditors and financial service providers.
* Assisting with audits and providing necessary documentation and explanations.
* Maintaining accurate, complete and organized financial records.
* Supporting ongoing improvement projects as required.
About you:
* At least 2 years’ experience in accounting, working towards a professional qualification (i.e. CIMA/ACCA) or AAT qualified.
* Highly Proficient in accounting software, such as Sage 200, SAP, Prophix.
* Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
* Highly Proficient with MS Excel.
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
* Attention to detail and high level of accuracy essential.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ideal candidate will be able to learn and adapt to the use of different accounting software and to work collaboratively in a fast paced multi-cultural environment.
