Hays are partnered with an established, growth orientated owner managed business with an excellent reputation in their industry to appoint a full-time Commercial Finance Manager to partner the Group Finance Director and wide senior stakeholders, lead the commercial team within a very hands-on role, and drive better MI to support making informed decisions. The role will be fully office based with the potential of some flexibility.
Key Objectives & Purpose:
The role involves managing various aspects of financial reporting and operations within the company. Key responsibilities include:
1. Production of monthly management accounts for the Group
2. Preparation of board packs and financial reports for the leadership team
3. Overseeing the sales forecasting process
4. Delivering operational reports to the COO, focusing on team performance and contribution margin analysis
5. Managing the project reconciliation teams, ensuring accuracy and completeness in tracking project financials
6. Maintaining the master project reconciliation template
7. Providing ad hoc reporting as needed to support decision-making across departments
Experience and Skills
* Worked within finance function for 5+ years
* Well-rounded finance experience
* Strong people/communication skills
* Sage/Xero experience is an advantage, but not a necessity
* Able to work under pressure and prioritise effectively
* Excellent team player
* Accountability for one’s own actions
* Attention to detail and ability to process detailed information accurately and effectively
* Cooperation with others in the team and other departments
