We'd love for you to be a part of our warm and welcoming small animal practice in Glenrothes, Fife About Us: Nestled in the heart of Glenrothes, our independent practice is dedicated exclusively to small animals. Our team consists of 4 full-time and 3 part-time veterinary surgeons who handle a diverse range of surgical and medical cases. We take pride in our close-knit, supportive environment, where everyone—from our skilled nurses to our dedicated receptionists—works together to provide top-notch care. Our nurses play a crucial role, from assisting in surgeries to running their own consults for nail clips, weight management, parasite checks, and more. We're always looking to expand our services, and we encourage our team to explore their special interests. Here, collaboration is key. We cherish our tea breaks (don't worry, we cater to non-tea drinkers too) and believe in pitching in to help during those busy days—our vets have even been known to grab a mop when needed. The Role: We’re looking for a qualified veterinary nurse to join us as we say farewell to our longest-serving nurse, who is retiring after 30 years of dedicated service. This full-time role involves a balanced mix of patient care, assisting with surgical and non-surgical procedures, running nursing consults, managing dispensary duties, and maintaining the clinical areas of the practice. You'll work 37.5 hours per week (3 shifts, including one weeknight (08:30-18:30) and one Saturday in four on-call (09:45-16:00). We offer overtime pay for call-outs, and your schedule includes a mix of shifts, ensuring variety in your workweek. What We’re Looking For: We seek a confident, adaptable nurse who thrives in a team setting. Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering the best possible care to our patients and clients are essential. Due to the on-call duties, a full driving license and access to your own transport are required. What We Offer: Holiday: 5.6 weeks including bank holidays. CPD: £500 annual budget.
