We are currently seeking an experienced Workshop / Installation Supervisor to join a dynamic and growing team for a leading client in the materials handling industry, based in Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a company at the forefront of logistics innovation, renowned for their world-class solutions. As the Workshop / Installation Supervisor, you will oversee a team of approximately 10 technicians, ensuring the successful assembly and installation of electrical and pneumatic systems. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining high-quality standards, managing health and safety protocols, and leading your team to meet the demands of the business. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and allocate tasks to a team of 10 technicians. Oversee the assembly and wiring of electrical and pneumatic control systems in line with engineering drawings. Prioritize workloads to meet business requirements. Collaborate with the maintenance manager on internal electrical issues and upgrade projects. Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed and manage near miss reporting. Perform quality control checks on finished goods to ensure standards are met. Maintain an organized workshop, managing consumables and stock levels. Foster a clean, tidy working environment while encouraging team development and skill enhancement. What You’ll Need: BTEC or City & Guilds electrical qualification, or a recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) Strong ability to read electrical schematics and an eye for detail. Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role. Practical knowledge of control panel building, general controls installations, and control panel components. Understanding of field devices, sensors, switches, and basic pneumatic systems. Excellent communication skills to liaise between the workshop and the office. A methodical and calm approach, even under pressure. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
