Your new role
As our new Mechanical Engineer/Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will support the growth of the UK Healthcare Team. You will be working with our existing team, focusing on projects in London and South East England, but with opportunities to support healthcare projects throughout the UK and globally. You will have a focus on technical delivery and an excellent understanding of client care.
Your key responsibilities will be:
* Work as part of a team of MEP Engineers, frequently collaborating with colleagues from other engineering disciplines, e.g. structural engineers.
* Raise the profile and reputation of the UK Healthcare Team.
* Develop and oversee Mechanical concepts and design philosophies.
* Liaise with clients and collaborators, representing Ramboll at project meetings.
* Complete detailed designs to required standards and supervise work of graduate engineers and apprentices.
* Complete design calculations using industry standard software, such as Hevacomp, MagiCad, IES, Revit etc.
* Implement best practice procedures to enhance and maintain delivery of sustainable, zero carbon, innovative and quality advisory and design services.
* Manage your own projects and act as MEP engineering project manager to allocate resources and coordinate tasks.

* Must have demonstrable experience with UK Healthcare sector projects, such as the building of hospitals within the UK.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Have achieved, or be working towards, Chartered Engineer.
* Have a thorough understanding and use of digital design tools appropriate to the role, including delivery through Revit/BIM 360.
* Forward thinking about digital design innovation and ‘smart design’ in a digitised construction arena.
* Experienced and proficient at working in a BIM environment.
* Excellent communicator capable of explaining complex technical concepts in plain language, verbally and in writing.
* Be able to demonstrate good attention to detail and take pride in work produced.
* Able to motivate and inspire confidence both internally and externally across geographical borders.
* Able to work autonomously on all technical aspects of the discipline.
