Temporary Accounting Technician - Cashbook (Finance)

36.25 hours, Monday – Friday, normal working hours
This opening assignment is for 2-3 months
City: COVENTRY
Hybrid working - expected in office 1 day a week. At start, would be expected to come into the office to collect equipment, meet the team, and train for at least a few days in the 1st week.
Provide an excellent finance service to your customers and support the Cashbook team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance of accurate information on the financial ledgers, for example, posting journals, reconciling accounts, and analysing information.
2. Ensure that all information related to income received and payments out of the bank are processed in accordance with agreed timetables and formats.
3. Providing customers with ongoing support for the business with the cashbook and income processing systems.
4. Work as part of the team to deliver key performance measures.
5. Providing accurate information for internal and external auditors.
6. Establish and maintain great relationships with your internal/external customers, ensuring you understand their needs, business, and deadlines.
7. Provide customers with ongoing support and assistance that meets their requirements.
8. Demonstrate positive customer-focused behaviours.
Key Requirements:
1. AAT student or similar qualification - desirable.
2. Knowledge of data protection legislation, GDPR, and Information Governance.
3. Understanding of data management systems with the ability to interpret, analyse, and present data.
4. Previous 12 months experience in finance.
5. Strong communication skills with the ability to meet customer needs.
6. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
