Pertemps is currently looking for a Forklift Driver to join our client on a Temporary to Permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, load, and unload goods safely and efficiently within the yard. If you hold an in-date Counterbalance licence, in-house training can be provided for Reach Truck operation.
The Duties of a Forklift Driver:
* Safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, and organise stock in the yard
* Load and unload deliveries with precision and care
* Ensure stock is stored correctly and in line with company procedures
* Carry out regular safety checks on the reach truck and report any issues
* Assist with general yard duties, including housekeeping and stock control
* Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
The Requirements of a Forklift Driver:
* Valid Forklift licence and experience
* Previous experience working as a Reach Truck Driver in a yard or warehouse desirable
* Good understanding of health and safety procedures
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
* Physical fitness to handle manual tasks when required
