Role: Support Worker
Location: Vane Hill ARBD Care Home, Torquay
Hours: BANK, covering annual leave and last minute sickness.
Working a mixture of day & waking night shifts, Monday-Sunday; 07.45 a.m-08.00 p.m and 07.45 p.m-08.00 a.m.
Salary: £11.75 per hour.
Due to limits on sponsorship allocations, we are not currently in a position to offer sponsorship to new candidates for these roles, this remains under review.
THE ROLE
We are recruiting for a committed and passionate Bank Support Worker to work at our ARBD Care Home, Vane Hill in Torquay. The successful candidate will be a fully flexible, experienced Support Worker, willing to work a mixture of shifts covering annual leave and sickness. Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be available to pick up shifts Monday-Sunday.
Vane Hill provides specialist support for individuals living with Korsakoff’s syndrome with mental health problems and the effects of Alcohol-Related Brain Damage. Supporting the residents of Vane Hill on an individual basis in line with their personal support plan, you will assist them with all aspects of their life, such as personal care, day-to-day activities and helping them to achieve their goals.

THE RIGHT PERSON
* 6 months experience working in a similar role is required
* Ideally you will hold a Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care, or be willing to work towards this
* Must be able to demonstrate your ability to work both as a team member and on own initiative
* Must be able to demonstrate loyalty, flexibility, and commitment to the care home
* Must be able to carry out any other necessary duties as agreed with Directors/Operations Team
