We have an exciting opportunity for an Application Analyst to join the Software as a Service (SaaS) Team in the Digital and Transformation Service.
You will work on an interesting and diverse application portfolio and gain skills in a variety of technologies and stages of applications’ lifecycle.
The team is responsible for the development, management, and maintenance of in house developed software solutions, requiring expertise from business analysis to technical delivery. We also act as an “intelligent client” with a number third party suppliers.
Our solutions use a wide variety of technologies, that span both traditional on premise and cloud platforms. Successful candidates will be expected to be confident in a variety of technologies but should consider themselves fully competent to be a technical lead in one or more of the following:
1. C#
2. .Net
3. Azure Development and Administration
4. Microsoft 365 Development and Administration
5. Python
6. GIS
7. JAVA
8. Javascript
For this post the main responsibility will be the development and maintenance of our Finance Hub. This is the transport mechanism for financial transactions between our business applications and our finance system ( Unit4). The Hub consists of a browser based user interface and a series of batch processes, all developed in C# and with a SQL server database. Communication with Unit4 is handled via SOAP and REST APIs. Source control and deployment are managed using Azure DevOps repositories and pipelines.
