This role is responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate inventory management and overseeing the entire inventory process from receiving and storing ingredients to tracking and replenishing stock levels. Managing a team of stock controllers and inventory coordinators to optimise inventory levels, reduce waste, and ensure uninterrupted production. What You Will Be Doing: ● Managing a large team of 2 direct reports and a wider team of 16 on the shift to ensure that the shift KPIs are met in full and on time. ● Engaging and developing the team to achieve optimum performance and for the Colleagues to meet their full potential. ● Role modelling the Company’s DNA and ensuring that these are followed by the team. ● Dealing with day to day queries from Colleagues – liaising with HR, Training Teams as required ● Oversee the receiving, inspection, and storage of ingredients and packaging materials, ensuring proper labelling, handling, and storage practices are followed. ● Monitor inventory levels, analyse usage patterns, and forecast demand to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or excesses. ● Maintain up to date and accurate records (including computeriseddigital) on production, food safety data and analyse this data to identify trends, problems and opportunities for improvement. ● Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to identify discrepancies, resolve issues promptly, and maintain inventory accuracy. ● Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure timely availability of ingredients and materials for production schedules. Who You Are: ● Experience with working in a supply chain management environment. ● Proven experience in an inventory supervisory role. ● Experience with working with external suppliers and managing internal stakeholders. ● Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, practices, and procedures, with a focus on FIFO, lot tracking, and expiry management. ● Proficiency in using inventory management software and tools, such as ERP systems or specialised inventory management software.
