Job Opportunity: Trainee Buyer
Due to successful company expansion, my client is recruiting permanently for a Trainee Buyer to assist the buying department in gathering, analyzing, and submitting material prices for tender submissions and managing physical purchases for live sites.
Location: Based in Huntingdon. The role involves supporting the buying department during tender stages by sending price inquiries to suppliers, analyzing responses, building strategic supplier relationships, understanding technical drawings and specifications, and negotiating quotations during live projects to secure the best value for the business.
Requirements
* HNC or degree in a civil engineering related discipline
* Live within a commutable distance to Huntingdon
* No prior buying experience necessary; suitable for a Trainee
* Team player with excellent organizational skills
* Clear communication skills
* Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook; skills in Access and SharePoint are desirable
