Bid Writer Up to £70k (depending on experience) North West
I am recruiting for a Bid Writer to join a growing contractor specialising in retrofit and energy efficiency works across the UK. The business partners with local authorities and social housing providers to deliver funded improvement projects to public and private housing stock.
This role offers the chance to lead and shape high-quality bids from start to finish, working closely with a skilled team and a range of internal and external stakeholders. You'll also support wider business development activity through award submissions, market engagement, and events.
Whats involved:
Managing the end-to-end bid process, from opportunity review through to final submission.
Leading key meetings and coordinating input from commercial, operational, and design teams.
Developing compelling content that highlights win themes and sector insights.
Bringing together a bid team including in-house staff and external delivery partners.
Supporting continuous improvement and bid team development through feedback and mentoring.
Involvement in market engagement, frameworks, and networking to help raise the company profile.
Types of Projects
The projects involve delivering energy efficiency and retrofit works to social housing and privately owned homes, funded through various government and local authority schemes. These include decarbonisation frameworks, dynamic purchasing systems (DPS), and grant-funded programmes aimed at reducing carbon emissions, improving insulation, and tackling fuel poverty. The work is delivered in partnership with housing associations, councils, and framework providers across different regions.
