Why might this job interest you? North London Foundation Trust are currently looking for an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to join The Physical Health Therapies service. The right candidate will ideally have experience managing people with dysphagia including screening, assessment and treatment. In this role you will be required to: Evaluate patients to identify individuals who have a variety of complex speech, language and communication, eating, drinking and swallowing needs Develop treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs in order to improve speech, language, and communication skills Implement techniques to enhance articulation, fluency, voice quality and language comprehension and expression Work with patients experiencing dysphagia to improve their ability to safely swallow food and liquids What you’ll need: Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent Licence to Practice Registered with HCPC Dysphagia post graduate training and at least 2 years post grad experience of working with dysphagia Competent and confident in preparing and using electronic information Up to date IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word Knowledge and/or experience of using RIO patient held record system would be beneficial Car for community work In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of: HCPC registration The benefits we can offer you in return: Putting People in Places to Care – be part of the NHSP community, by joining the bank and caring for patients with a team from all walks of life.
