Position
An opportunity has arisen for a Perioperative Care Co-ordinator at University Hospital Crosshouse & University Hospital Ayr.
What you will do:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible perioperative care co-ordinator to provide multifactorial clinical screening of patients waiting for surgery. You will perform face-to-face and remote active clinical surveillance across tri-prehabilitation domains of lifestyle, nutrition, and psychology. You will signpost patients to relevant services to support this process.
You will maintain contact with patients every 3 months while they wait for surgery.
You will triage patients into low risk or expedited pre-operative assessment groups.

Knowledge, training, and/or experience required to do the job:
* Diploma in healthcare or equivalent SVQ III in social or health care subjects
* Previous health/social care experience is essential.
* Willing to be flexible regarding work base location and travel across Ayrshire & Arran area.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Understanding of key health promotion messages (including alcohol, smoking cessation, healthy eating, and physical activity) as part of the role.

* Post 1: 22 hours, 5 days a week
* Post 2: 15 hours, 5 days a week
UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
