Placement: Ad hoc shifts via the NHS Professionals Bank
Hours: Domestic Shifts - 6.00am - 1.30pm & Catering Shifts 7.00am – 2.00pm
Pay Rate: £12.08

About the Role
We are looking for someone who is looking to work flexibly as a Domestic, and Catering Assistant.
As a Domestic Assistant, you'll be the cornerstone of cleanliness, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors. With meticulous attention to detail and strict adherence to infection control protocols, you'll leave our facilities gleaming and pristine.
As a Catering Assistant, you will step into the heart of hospitality, where you'll ensure every meal is served with care and compassion.
l play a pivotal part in delivering nutritious and delicious meals tailored to the needs of patients, staff, and visitors. Your teamwork and flexibility will keep our kitchen running smoothly, while your vigilance in monitoring temperatures and upholding food safety standards ensures the highest standards of hygiene are maintained.
What you’ll be responsible for:
· As part of the infection control team the cleanliness and sanitation of clinical areas to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
· Operating cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
· Communicate effectively with departmental staff, colleagues, line managers and patients.
· Prepare food to specified recipes, including in high-risk chilled areas.
· Ensure accurate labelling of products.
· Handle, store, and serve food safely and hygienically.
· Assist with dining area setup and cleaning.
· Maintain accurate records of food temperatures, stock levels, and wastage.
Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience:
· Strong communication skills coupled with the ability to work independently and in a team.
· Capable of working to deadlines and under pressure.
· Experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
· Knowledge of COSSH and health and safety protocols.
· Qualifications such as Level 2 in Food Safety and Allergen Awareness
