Pay - £12.75 -£13.50 per hour.Location - TamworthHours - 40 hours per weekStart date - asapPosition - Deputy Nursery ManagerPosition Type - Permanent I am recruiting for a lovely nursery in Tamworth, the Deputy Manager will assist the Nursery Manager in the daily operation of the Nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding are met. This role involves supporting the leadership team to maintain a safe and supportive environment for both children and staff while promoting a culture of learning, development, and positively within the nursery.The role: Support the Nursery Manager in the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the nursery.Step in as the lead practitioner in the absence of the Nursery Manager.Assist with the recruitment, training, and ongoing development of nursery staff to ensure a well-trained and motivated team.Ensure that the nursery's curriculum and activities meet the needs of the children and adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.Oversee the planning and delivery of stimulating and age-appropriate activities for children, ensuring they are supported in their development.Monitor children's progress, ensuring that their individual learning and development needs are met and supporting staff in carrying out observations and assessments.Assist in ensuring that all nursery policies and procedures are followed in relation to health, safety, and safeguarding.Act as a point of contact for parents, addressing queries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and approachable manner.Organize and contribute to parent workshops, events, and meetings to engage families in their child's learning journey.Assist the Nursery Manager in managing daily administrative tasks, including staff rotas, attendance records, and any required reports.Ensure the nursery complies with all relevant regulations, policies, and standards, including those set by Ofsted.Maintain accurate records of children's progress, learning outcomes, and any other required documentation.Skills & Qualifications:Level 3 or higher qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare.At least 2 years of experience in a senior or supervisory role within a childcare setting.Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and current childcare legislation.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their well-being and development.Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.If you are looking for a new role, have free days currently and want some extra money or just want more flexibility around your work/life balance and have the requirements needed above - We want to speak to you TODAYAspire People Limited provides services as an Education Agency and an Education Employment Business.
