About the Role
As a Nursery/Reception Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored support to children with social, emotional, and mental health needs in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Assist in delivering a rich, inclusive curriculum that fosters confidence, resilience, and key social skills.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans for children with ALN.
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.
- Helping pupils learn numeracy and language skills through daily activities.
- Build trusting relationships with pupils and parents and provide social and emotional support.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and well-being through structured interventions and activities.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine passion for supporting pupils in their earliest years of education.
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and positivity, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with young children.
- Works well as part of a team and is proactive in using initiative to meet children's needs.
- Any experience in early childhood education or working with children is highly valued, but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
