Production Line Operative/Production Line Leader
Location: Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire
Hours of work: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 4:00pm
Salary: £26,000 - £27,500 per annum (DOE) plus overtime
Duties include:
1. Leading by example, ensuring behaviours and actions are consistently in line with Company Values and our 'SAFE' culture, and ensuring that all processes and procedures regarding Health, Safety and Hygiene are strictly adhered to.
2. Ensuring that all pre-start checks are completed and to a satisfactory level.
3. Label and machine checks, setting up the line and conducting a visual inspection of the line, reporting any faults or damaged parts to the Engineering and Operations Manager.
4. Operating machinery efficiently and minimising downtime where possible.
5. Supporting the Technical department in writing SOPs where required and cascading training on updated or new SOPs to the production teams.
6. Working closely with Technical and QA's to ensure appropriate standards are being consistently met and SOPs are being followed.
7. Ensuring your production team follows break schedules and maintains good timekeeping practices.
8. Conducting regular inventory checks, maintaining basic standard stock levels for your production line and employee facilities, liaising with Planning to order any replacement items.
9. Completing KPI Spreadsheets and production level reporting.
10. Achieving set Production KPIs, targets, and output quality levels, helping to identify any trends and providing potential solutions or suggestions on efficiency improvements.
Skills and experience:
1. The successful candidate will ideally have an FMCG background; however, this is not essential but must have experience of working within a production environment, ideally on a line.
2. You must have set up some form of production line and completed basic maintenance duties.
3. Ability to work well under pressure and to think outside the box.
4. Own transport is essential due to the location of the company.
