Job Overview
We are seeking a Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our Children’s Occupational Therapy Service. This role involves providing specialist assessment, advice, and treatment for children with functional difficulties in self-care, productivity, and leisure. The postholder will work autonomously, contribute to service development, and deliver high-quality care as part of a multidisciplinary team, in collaboration with schools and families.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions for children with functional difficulties.
* Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team, school staff, and families to develop tailored care plans.
* Plan and deliver therapy in accordance with service agreements for Sutton Health & Care Community Services.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of the Children’s Occupational Therapy service.
* Maintain accountability for clinical decisions and actions within your defined clinical area.
Requirements
* Degree in Occupational Therapy and valid HCPC registration.
* Experience working in paediatrics, specifically with children facing functional challenges.
* Strong ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially with schools and families.
* Commitment to service development and continuous professional development.
