About the role of Retail and Events Manager:
This role has responsibility for catering, mobilisation of race days, and events. We require you to deliver sustainable growth through enhanced revenue generation, improved service delivery, cost savings, and maximising commercial opportunities across the Group.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver our product to the highest standards, maintaining professionalism.
* Ensure site is always raceday/EVH presentable – self-motivated, conscientious, high standards, good communicator, willing to work unsociable hours.
* Maintain thorough knowledge of HACCP (Bars and Restaurant).
* Analyze management and audit reports; implement improvements.
* Plan rotas for event build-up, operation, and breakdown, ensuring costs stay within budgets.
* Liaise with the Business Co-ordinator for catering information planning and monitoring.
* Lead volume operations and support key account client requirements for events.
* Implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability of catering & events.
* Establish and promote our retail brand across venues.
* Work with catering team to deliver food and beverage strategies, controlling costs.
* Adhere to purchasing limits across departments.
* Maximize beverage sales through purchasing, pricing, and controls.
* Support key fixtures/events through collaboration with retail teams.
* Enhance communication between catering and sales teams.
* Minimize staff turnover via positive management of casual staff, encouraging development.
* Understand financial and commercial operations.
* Seek new profitable opportunities for facilities and customer satisfaction.
* Coordinate with marketing to ensure promotional material reflects offerings.
* Manage inventory and maintain PAR levels for equipment.
* Conduct daily site inspections to maintain standards.
* Handle administrative tasks for race day and non-race day events.
Key Performance Indicators:
o Effective stock management and communication with sales and management teams.
o Increase Food and Beverage spend per head.
o Control food and beverage margins, with focus on beverage margins.
o Maintain high service levels and stakeholder relationships.
o Enhance Owners and Trainers experience.
