Job Title: Workplace Product Owner

Location: Edinburgh, Alderley Edge or London
We are looking to hire two experienced Product Owners to shape the future of the workplace proposition at Royal London. As a Product Owner you will take responsibility for designing and continuously evolving our workplace proposition to ensure it delivers great customer outcomes and achieves our ambitious growth strategy.
You will lead a squad and will be responsible for reimagining the employer or member experience. Using market insight, customer understanding and anticipating innovation trends you will define and build great propositions to serve the current and future needs of members, advisers and employers.
About the role
* Leadership role in the design, development and delivery of Royal London’s future workplace proposition.
* Prioritises the right customer, adviser and employer business problems based on data and insights, considering alignment to Royal London’s purpose and workplace growth strategy.
* Understands the competitive landscape and makes sure Royal London remains innovative in the workplace market.
* Champions customer led design to ensure that design thinking principles are applied to new features.
* A catalyst for change, works collaboratively with other Product Owners and squads across Royal London to deliver new propositions to market.
* Articulates the future workplace vision, and priorities, to internal and external stakeholders.
* Understands risk responsibilities to ensure appropriate governance processes are followed and regulatory (TPR and FCA) and audit requirements are met.
About you
* Has delivered change through a variety of delivery methods and managed a complex product backlog.
* A track record of delivering proposition change to enhance customer value, from ideation to market launch, working alongside change functions.
* Understands trends in the workplace market, particularly, innovation in the retirement market and employer experience.
* Experience engaging and building requirements for employers, advisers and trustees.
* Commercially astute, with a sound understanding of customer and financial dynamics, and ability to build compelling business cases for investment.
* Experience of leading and coaching people having led teams both directly and through matrix, defining the team’s roles and responsibilities.
* Track record of managing product development governance and conduct risk in line with risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
