Finance Assistant Location: Coventry - Must be able to drive due to location Salary: Circa £32,000 per annum The Company Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing transport and logistics business operating across the UK and Europe. With a strong presence in both road and air freight, they are expanding their finance and administrative functions and require a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support their operations. The Role The Office Administrator will be responsible for managing financial transactions, payroll, and general office administration. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently while also collaborating with finance and operations teams. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining financial records, and reconciling bank statements. Managing payroll processing, pension contributions, and deductions Handling invoicing, chasing debtors, and ensuring smooth credit control processes. Coordinating vehicle-related expenses, including fuel, tolls, and fines (experience not essential but desirable) Managing office supplies and maintaining essential business records. Liaising with international suppliers, clients, and authorities to support business operations. The Person The ideal candidate will have: At least two years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll processing, and finance administration. Confident with CRM Accounting systems Strong attention to detail, excellent numerical skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. A proactive and organised approach to managing administrative tasks. The ability to work collaboratively within a team while also taking ownership of responsibilities.
