The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across several sectors including hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable generation and transmission & distribution networks. Together we provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle – from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension. Together with our clients, we’re helping to deliver the energy transition globally.
Overview of role
Owing to continued growth and high demand for our services, we are looking for an Offshore Wind Project Manager, specialised in foundations and floating platforms design, to join our global energy team in one of our offices in Europe. As Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of offshore wind consultancy projects (owner’s engineering, due diligence and lender’s technical advisory) for clients worldwide, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget and with zero errors. This includes coordination of internal and external resources, deliverable review and acceptance, budget and time adherence, client liaison, and internal reporting on offshore wind projects. The role will also involve the preparation of bids for new work. You will provide technical support to a wide variety of stakeholders including developers, original equipment manufacturers, regulators and financing.
Candidate Specification:
* Bachelor's degree in Naval or Civil Engineering.
* Working knowledge of offshore structural engineering, including comprehension of the sea environment and hydrodynamic loads.
* Deep understanding of different foundation typologies for both bottom-fixed and floating.
* Awareness of the interfaces between turbine and foundation/platform.
* Knowledge of relevant Offshore Wind design codes and certification requirements.
* First-hand knowledge of offshore structural analysis software.
* Familiarity with CAD or other modelling software.
* Command on naval basic concepts (stability, masses, etc.).
* Demonstrable experience of project management of offshore wind projects.
* Excellent IT skills particularly MS Excel/Word/Project and PowerPoint.
* Self-motivation, ability to use initiative, flexible, problem-solving approach.
* Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
* Ability to communicate clearly & concisely in English, both verbally & written.
* Ability to produce and review technical reports for clients.
* Ability to lead/chair and present at meetings.
