Description
We are committed to the development of our workforce. This position is only available to applicants who already work for Surrey County Council. We thank you for your interest in our roles and encourage you to review our vacancies that are open to all.
The starting salary for this role will match your current pay grade and pay point as an Occupational Therapist at Surrey County Council.
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to be seconded to the Reablement Transformation Team for up to 12 months.
This opportunity is for Occupational Therapists at all levels, whether you have just started your OT journey or have been experienced for many years and hold a senior/manager position.
You will work alongside a small team focused on innovation and delivering services differently to improve outcomes and deliver savings for the Council as set out in the diagnostic work facilitated by Newton Europe earlier this year.
You must be prepared to travel to any of our localities in Surrey for focused pieces of work with Reablement colleagues and support identifying improved ways of working that can then be implemented Surrey-wide.
You will work alongside the Transformation Senior Manager, Assistant Reablement Manager, and another Occupational Therapist, who themselves will have been selected to work on this innovative project. The project team is supported by a Project Worker with assistance as needed from brokerage, commissioning, business intelligence, and finance.
You will need the permission of your line manager for the secondment, but backfill will be available to cover your substantive post.
As part of your application, you will be asked to write a statement of no more than 1000 words on why you feel you are well-suited to this opportunity.
For further information, contact Paul Richards, the project sponsor, or Laura Bandara, Transformation Senior Manager.
The job advert closes at 23:59 on 27/01/2025 with interviews to follow.
