Job summary The CSF will work along side the ED PDN to develop and maintain high standards of evidence-based nursing through staff education and clinical practice. They will facilitate the development of service based educational programmes and act as a member of the senior nursing team demonstrating clinical expertise. Main duties of the job To work in accordance with the NMC: The Code: Professional Standards of Practice and Behaviour for Nurses and Midwives and the MTW policies and procedures. To ensure own practice demonstrates current clinical knowledge To work clinically in all areas of ED on a regular, planned basis, supporting individual nursing staff in developing their practice. To produce written accounts from each clinical facilitation. In conjunction with the Practice Development Nurse, contribute towards S.M.A.R.T. goal setting if needed. To work with the ED PDN to devise and deliver ED specific training such as Triage, ED specific induction, Trauma, band 5 development, minor injuries, Foundations of Emergency Care. To work effectively as part of the multi-professional, encouraging and supporting other health care professionals in the promotion and maintenance of an effective learning environment.
