About this opportunity
In this role, you will:
* Provide essential support to managers, social workers, and child support workers in managing complex, high-risk cases.
* Champion and uphold best practice social work standards across your designated district or service area.
* Handle up to three complex cases at any given time, ensuring a focused and effective approach.
* Offer guidance, consultation, coaching, and mentoring to Children's Services professionals, including social workers, support staff, adoption and fostering specialists, students, and newly qualified practitioners (ASYE). This includes co-working opportunities and contributing to their continued professional development (CPD).
* Collaborate with team managers to assess and manage risk within both individual and multi-agency frameworks.
* Take a lead role in fostering effective, forensic, and reflective social work practices aligned with social work core values and the Professional Capabilities Framework.
* Actively participate in peer support and constructive challenges to strengthen team collaboration and effectiveness.
* Build networks and share expertise across agencies to boost professional confidence and competence, address gaps in service provision, and drive positive outcomes for children and families.
