Role & Client Overview:
Are you passionate about equipping individuals with the skills they need to thrive in today's job market? Our client, a leading vocational training and employability provider, is looking for a Vocational Tutor to deliver high-quality Adult Education Budget (AEB) funded courses in Croydon.
You will be responsible for delivering Employability, Functional Skills, Digital Skills, and other vocational courses, helping learners gain Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by supporting learners on their journey to sustainable employment and career progression.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons, ensuring learners achieve their qualifications.
2. Support and motivate learners, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
3. Deliver Sector-Based Work Academy Programmes (SWAPs) to help learners transition into job and apprenticeship opportunities.
4. Embed careers advice and progression guidance within teaching sessions.
5. Use digital learning platforms such as One File (e-portfolio) to track and assess learner progress.
6. Ensure all teaching and assessment meets Ofsted's Education Inspection Framework (EIF) standards.
Essential/Desirable Criteria:
Essential:
1. A Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent teaching qualification.
2. Experience delivering Adult Education Budget (AEB) funded training to unemployed or NEET learners.
3. A strong background in teaching Digital Skills, Employability, or Functional Skills.
4. Ability to manage and support learners effectively, ensuring high levels of engagement and achievement.
5. Knowledge of Ofsted EIF and experience using e-portfolios for tracking progress.
Desirable:
1. Assessor qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
2. Experience delivering environmental qualifications alongside vocational training.
3. Understanding of Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) to support learners' career progression.
4. Ability to work under pressure with rolling monthly cohorts.
