Priority Candidates will be considered in the first instance Heathside Residential Home Salary: Grade 3, 15,585 - 16,080 per annum. 12.45 - 12.85 per hour 24 hours per week Temporary 6-month contract to cover sickness Your role: You will be part of the kitchen team supporting Residents with dementia You will work in a busy residential home in the heart of Leigh which supports older people with dementia. You ll have a person-centred approach to support residents at mealtimes ensuring that their dietary needs are met and taking into account individual s needs, wishes and choices at all times whilst promoting their independence and choice. You will work closely with the Cook and be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen. About you: You will need to be flexible to the needs of the service and be able to work on a rota pattern that is unsociable hours including weekends, you will need to have excellent communication skills, both oral and written in order to support the residents and have knowledge and understanding of meeting dietary and nutritional needs for residents. You will need to be kind and caring and have an understanding of dementia and display values and compassion at all times. You will need to have the ability to work unsupervised and as part of the team.
