Our client is seeking a talented Interior Designer to join their established award winning multi-disciplinary Architectural practice based in Sheffield. The successful Interior Designer will collaborate with a team on large scale projects within the Residential, Commercial, Leisure, Student accommodation and Retail sectors. Our client work on a variety of projects covering different project values and sizes. Leisure/ Sport experience is an advantage for the successful Interior Designer.

The most successful Interior Designer should have a good knowledge of AutoCAD and Sketchup, Revit is an advantage.

Interior Designer Position Overview
1. Interior Designer to join an Architectural Practice based in Sheffield.
2. Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints.
3. Develop and present space plans, considering functionality and aesthetic elements.
4. Create design concepts, including colour schemes, furniture selections, lighting, and other decorative elements.
5. Present design proposals to clients, including 2D and 3D renderings, mood boards, and samples.
6. Work closely with architects and other professionals involved in the project.
7. Select and source materials, furnishings, and accessories that align with the design concept and budget.
8. Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for construction and installation.
Interior Designer Position Requirements
9. A bachelor's degree in interior design or a related field is required.
10. Minimum of 2 years' experience in the industry post degree.
11. Strong artistic and creative abilities.
12. Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
13. Knowledge of building codes and regulations advantage.
14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
15. Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
16. Knowledge of materials, furniture, and colour schemes.
