Senior Project PCS Engineer (North West - Warrington)
Job Responsibilities
The work will be varied and every project a new and exciting opportunity to use and develop different skills, both at a technical level and at a softer project execution interpersonal level.
You will be involved in the design and implementation of a wide range of systems to improve the performance of Life Science, Chemical and Manufacturing and processing companies including control systems, plant management information systems, manufacturing execution systems, track and trace systems and OEE systems.
You will be responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of process control solutions and involved in all project lifecycle activities, including fault-finding, the preparation of design specifications and reports, software programming, project execution, testing, installation and commissioning.
Other responsibilities will include providing technical support and consultancy to users internally and externally and assisting your colleagues in ensuring the successful completion of projects on time, to budget and the relevant level of quality.
You will also be required to complete all tasks in line with the company Quality Management System.
You will be involved in all aspects of projects from the initial requirements gathering, proposal production and specification through to the design, development and installation of the solutions. As part of the engineering teams, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of projects, using various manufacturers’ software and hardware within different industry sectors.
You will be responsible for maintaining and developing customer relationships in a highly professional manner that enhance the reputation of ITS. This may include providing engineering manpower support to customers under Service Level Agreements.
Minimum Requirements
1. At least 7 years of mainstream PLC/SCADA experience.
2. Experience working in regulated industries such as Life Sciences, Chemical Manufacturing or Power and Energy is also highly desirable.
3. Ability and willingness to adapt to new software systems.
4. Hardworking with a positive attitude to learning new skills.
5. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively both formally and informally, orally and in written English.
6. Driving Licence.
