We are looking for a Supervisor to join theEngineering teamat our Falmouth facility and take responsibility for our Mechanical Fitters and Machinists who arerepairingships. Who we are: A&P Falmouth is one of the largest ship-repair facilities in the UK, we provide a complete range of marine repair services thanks to our on-site engineering, electrical, paint and fabrication workshops. What you will do: Youll supervise your teamensuring that all work is performed to ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System), ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) standards and customer satisfaction Youll maintain high standards of quality, productivity and safety, preparing written risk assessments and identifying requirements for the safe completion of work Working with ourProject/Ship Managers as well asships staff, sub-contractors and other Supervisors you'llmonitor workflow, allocate tasks and ensure optimal use of resources and materials, reporting any potential changes to specification work/ extra work Ensuring compliance by all employees, you'll be aware ofpolicies and procedures as well asmonitoring them Youll train, mentor and support your team fostering a positive and collaborative work environment What we are looking for: A qualified engineer, ideally with experience working in the ship building/repair, marine industry or asimilar heavy industrial environment Youll be able to read,interpret and understand technical drawings A leader with experience working in a supervisory or similar levelrole Youll need excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills that will help you toeffectively supervise your team Youll need strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring health and safety This role will require a commitment to working overtime when needed Why join us: ?
