About The Role
Are you a highly analytic, part qualified or newly qualified Accountant, who can offer excellent commercial support, insight and analysis to a wider finance team and business stakeholders?
We've created an additional role in our finance team for a Commercial Finance Analyst, who will work alongside our Finance Business Partnering team to challenge and support the wider business team to ensure the best possible decisions are made, and costs and processes are optimised to ensure profitable sales growth.
The Commercial Finance Analyst position offers hybrid working, with 2 to 3 days from home or in our head office in Hull each week.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Providing commercial finance support and insight to the business partners and key stakeholders around the business which helps contribute to positive improvements in performance.
2. Timely and accurate production of all regular reporting, analysis and insight using the available modelling tools and technical knowledge.
3. Investigating unusual trends in information and highlighting actionable insight to key stakeholders.
4. Leading the budget and rolling forecast processes within the relevant modelling tools and dashboarding products.
5. Producing forward looking reports and analysis on areas such as sales and margin highlighting key risks and opportunities.
6. Working closely with the business intelligence/finance teams on financial dashboarding projects - ensuring financial integrity of reported information.
7. Analysis and documenting of business requirements, to design and write analytical business reports, including test of data and design validation for quality output.
8. Discovering, documenting and applying best practice research and analysis as part of the Commercial Finance continuous improvement agenda.

The ideal Commercial Finance Analyst will be/have:
1. Part qualified or newly qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
2. Good interpersonal, communication & presentation skills.
3. Ability to deal with large volumes of data and organise, analyse and present information in an easy-to-understand way with clear findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
4. Experience of Anaplan or similar modelling tools desirable.
5. Ability to challenge assumptions and the status quo.
6. Ability to work as a team and deliver to tight deadlines.
7. Good knowledge of business strategy, structure, systems, processes and people.
8. Confident user of Microsoft Packages.
