As a mental health practitioner, you will need to be able to assess risk and use this to inform decision-making for children and young people. We support children and young people with moderate to severe mental health presentations in the community, working with risk to prevent hospital admission where possible and manage crises when needed.
Mental health practitioners within CAMHS deliver a range of therapeutic interventions to children and young people, including accessible assessments and interventions for those with learning disabilities.
Mental health practitioners within CAMHS work agilely across the district and have access to two main bases: Fieldhead in Bradford and Hillbrook in Keighley. CAMHS is a continually developing service with plans in place for services to be offered over seven days and between eight am and eight pm, which will consist of some shift work.
Do you want to make a difference? Do you have a ‘can do’ attitude, are enthusiastic, motivated, and ready for a challenge? Do you possess excellent communication and organisational skills? If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen to work within Bradford's Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
We are seeking to recruit a number of professionally qualified practitioners to further develop and grow our multi-disciplinary CAMHS team. You will be working in a community-based multi-disciplinary team delivering a service to children, young people, and their families in a supportive and lively team, where different professions are respected and valued. You will have the opportunity to play a significant role in the leadership delivery of a modernised and comprehensive service.
