Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to join the Pharmacy, Optometry and Dentistry Commissioning Hub for the South East Region. The Hub Team is hosted by Frimley Integrated Care Board (ICB) but works on behalf of all 6 ICBs in the South East. This Commissioning Manager post will support the dental team to deliver the commissioning workplan and to provide dental commissioning and contracting expertise to individual ICBs. The successful candidate will be part of the team that has responsibility for commissioning dental services, working in accordance with statutory requirements and national policy. The role requires excellent commissioning leadership, strategic and operational management capability, and a collaborative approach to working across the various teams in the South East Region. Main duties of the job The role includes but is not limited to: Leadership and support for a team to ensure effective delivery and that the NHS values are reflected in core business and the way in which staff are managed. Interpretation and application of complex national regulations and guidance to ensure that the dental team processes align and comply with statutory requirements and national policy. The post holder will support the defining of current processes, will facilitate discussions and advise colleagues on how best practice might be adopted in the definition of future processes, will document those processes as they are agreed and oversee their delivery. Lead on assigned commissioning project areas which may span all or several ICBs. To have oversight of a portfolio of dental contracts administered by a nominated Dental Contract Manager and to provide technical support and guidance in accordance with the NHS England Dental Policy Book and the Regulations.
