1:1 Part time Qualified Teachers required in Peterborough & Wisbech
Strategy Education is looking for qualified teachers for both Primary and Secondary aged students in Peterborough, Wisbech, and Whittlesey.
The students are school refusers due to anxiety, pupils who have been excluded from a mainstream setting, or students with a disability who have not got a SEN provision.
We are looking for QTS or QTLS teachers in the following areas: Peterborough, Wisbech, and Whittlesey.
These roles are rewarding, and the primary activity is to provide an individualised education both academically and socially in the community, in either a school setting, the home, or designated public buildings such as a library.
The majority of students on a 1:1 programme have had difficulties in a mainstream setting and may have behaviour or special needs and are likely to be working below their age group.
Candidate skills and experience for the role:
1. You will need to hold QTS or QTLS.
2. Be a reflective practitioner.
3. Some knowledge about a range of interventions and their impact on meeting the needs of SEN students.
4. Some experience of Autism, SEMH, or ADHD would be advantageous but not essential.
5. The ability to help deliver creative and innovative lessons to engage the most reluctant of learners.
6. Have the ability to build relationships quickly with the students, parents, or carers.
Benefits:
1. Flexible working hours to fit in with your lifestyle.
2. Work close to home.
3. Dedicated SEN consultant.
4. On-going contract.
