The Corporate Tax department is responsible for all corporate income tax matters within DHL. Global responsibilities are addressed by International Taxes and Indirect Taxes, whereas regional responsibilities are organized by area, led by Regional Heads. We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in UK.
Job Purpose:
Provide UK corporation tax compliance, reporting and advisory services.
Your tasks:
1. Preparing corporate tax computations and file UK Corporation tax returns by end of December each year
2. Timely provision of tax support to UK businesses in producing tax disclosures for inclusion in statutory accounts
3. Tax reporting of UK tax group figures to DPAG in Bonn and dealing with audit queries from Deloitte
4. Providing support to businesses on tax aspects of business projects and dealing with tax technical issues
5. Preparing transfer pricing reports for companies within scope using the Group’s Transfer Pricing software tool
6. Manage internal queries regarding transfer pricing matters.
7. Assisting with reviewing the UK Group’s CFC position, process improvements and making appropriate claims and elections
8. Liaising with HMRC on issues as they arise and timely response to queries.
9. Liaising with other tax colleagues in the worldwide group to deal with withholding tax issues, residency certificates and US tax forms.
10. Maintaining the Groups’ internal reporting tool (ICON) for corporate tax for the group companies being managed as part of Internal Governance
Your profile:
1. Professional accountancy/Tax qualification and Bachelor’s Degree.
2. ACA/ACCA/ICAS and/or CTA qualified.
3. 2+ years post professional qualification experience.
4. Possess good tax technical skills in UK corporate tax and an awareness of international tax issues
5. Proactive and enthusiastic about developing tax career in a large and complex commercial organization
6. Strong Tax Technology skills or quick to pick these up
7. Experience of transfer pricing issues affecting large corporates
8. Developing a good commercial awareness of the divisions
9. A good team player.
