Description Eastern Education Group, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 3TT Head of Welfare and Safeguarding (Schools) £41,078 per annum - £44,305 per annum 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year Full Time Permanent Reference: 6701 We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Head of Welfare and Safeguarding (Schools) to join our award winning Welfare and Safeguarding team. In this role you will provide safeguarding support for SEND Cluster formally known as SENDAT, and Exning Primary school which are now part of Eastern Education Group. You will be based in Based in Bury St Edmunds with travel to schools across Eastern Education Group Role Highlights: Act as Professional full time DSL manager for the group of schools within EEGT and provide support for school DSLs. Coordinate policies, processes and training, ensuring best practice models are used. Visit all school provision regularly and meet with the trained DSLs and support them with safeguarding issues on a daily basis. Use school systems to provide comprehensive reports. Check and monitor recording systems. Organise the safeguarding Top 10 Meeting weekly to discuss high risk cases. Investigate complaints, and work with parents and mediate between school and families as needed. Work closely with other Heads of Welfare and Safeguarding within EEG to make certain that our processes, practices and resources match each provision allowing for uniqueness.
